Has anyone seen or heard of any good exhaust kits fora a 3.9L? I'm looking to do my exhauts finally but I never see any kits for my truck. I've got no plans on doing an engine swap anytime soon. May throw a turbo in later down the road but that'll be about it.
I'd like a true dual kit but if I did that I'd have to swap my gas tank to a smaller one. Right now I'm looking for great sound and the best performance I can get. I'm looking at the 40 Series from Flowmaster but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. |

dynomax... there may be kits for it on jegs, but you can always just buy a muffler and have a shop bend pipe.

I probably will end up just buying the muffler. I've been checking out Magnaflow and to be honest I'm really not impressed with the sound on the smaller engines. I'll check out Dynamax though. I do like the sound of Flowmaster though. Especially since I'll be running 3" pipe incase I do throw a turbo on in the future.

Swing your truck by them for a estimate, they can build anything, they do all manderal bending and pretty much can do anything. They did my Town Car in the past and they have done alot of my buddies cars. They guarantee everything as well. |

Thanx Moss. Lous have been right at the top of my list as far as shops. I've seen and heard a lot of their work and really like them. I'm just looking to see what things sound like so I know what to ask for.

3" exhaust is far to large for a N/A engine, u will slow down the exhaust volecity and kill ur low end torque. if ya add a turbo, just throw an exhaust elecytric cut out for the least restriction
check out www.exhaustsoundclips.com to see what they have for ur particular engine. |

Checked out the site and hated what I heard. But then again they didn't have one from my application. LOL Anyway, I've talked to two shops already and they say that 3" should be fine. They said also that it's gonna sound sick. But I'll keep in mind what ya said and ask what they think will be best. |
