So i have a greddy turbo timer that I just bought today used. I hooked the acc, 12v and ignition wires up. I just spliced into the factory wires, soldered and taped off. I hooked up the parking brake wire as well. Now, It has two modes, accessory mode and ignition mode. ignition is the factory one, so it should work with that. It powers up and everything but when I go to turn the car off, it just shuts off and doesn't count down. Anybody know what the problem is?

EDIT: Ok so I can start the TT in Ignition mode then switch to accessory and then it starts to count down whether the car is on or not, if its on, I can take the key out. I don't know whats up with this. Anybody?? I also noticed that the accessory wire is loose...can I hook this up to a fuse in the fusebox or does it have to be the accessory side of the key wires

I don't think you need a turbo timer, with a stock turbo setup...?

BUT
For the accessory wire, you could even use the remote wire off your HU (blue/white) , with a relay of course. But other then that, I would read the manual.. or call them.

They keep the car on for a set amount of time so that the turbo can cool down. I got it working, i just bought a harness for it and its nice.

Its also keeps oil flowing through it, so it dosen't seize.

Yeah, the WRXs don't techincally need them because they are water cooled but it just makes me feel a bit better knowing i have it for this summer.

heh, the turbo.. isn't watercooled.
You mainly need them for aftermarket turbos, and higher PSI stuff, other then stock...
but they are pretty cool.

Or you know, you coulda saved yourself a hundred bucks and just let the car run for 30 seconds before you turn it off.
