Ok, after a lot of work I have got stage one build up done!

My truck is:

2000 Toyota 4runner Limited
3.4l V6
Auto Tranny (going to convert to Manual?)
Sunroof
And all the extras you could get with it. MSRP was $40,000 on it! REALLY, I didn?t think they were made that high either.

I got it used in April 2007 for $9600 with 125K and near perfect condition. Just needed the timing belt done and it was ready for anything.

So time for a formal interdiction of my ride (and yes I just want to show it off!).

WARNING! LOT AND LOTS OF PICS!

So here is an overall list of mods I have done thus far:

PEFORMANCE
MSD dis-4 + tach adapters
Short-ram intake with Cone filter (and a great sound)
Odyssey PC1700 battery
TRD oil cap
Added electronic fans
Tranny cooler
Stainless steel hoses
Silicone hoses for all the rest
Synthetic Fluid conversion
Full chassis lube (made a BIG difference)

BRAKING
Tundra Brake upgrade

EXTERIOR
Stainless Steel Grill Guard
Rear 100watt backup lights
REAL HID conversion headlights 4100K 35watt H4-2 bulbs (bulbs that have halogen on low bean and the sun on high beams, see below for pictures of what the lights look like at night)
Complete LED light conversion (except for the dash lights, getting to that soon)
Clear Corner lights
ALTEZZA rear lights in black
1.5? Inch wheel spacers (yeah I know they suck but they work until I can get my new ones?)
Rear light bar
3 TRD stickers (these are the premium model! Each adds 55HP instead of the normal 40HP!!)
Hood scoop (if ya?ll like it I will make it work)

OFF-ROAD ENHANCEMENTS
3 Hella 500?s in the front (2 with silverstars for driving lights and the other with 100watt light for off-road)
Extra fog lights for off road (yea there are a lot, no comments?)

INTERIOR
Built in power inverter
Fire extinguisher
Survival Kit
All-weather black mats

New stereo setup with the following:
Alpine Deck
Door speakers are EFX components. 6.5? in the front and 5.25? in the rear
DIYMA 12? 1000watt SQ sub in sealed box
A/S/D/ 5.25 amp (old school EXTREME HIGH QUALITY AMP) for the drivers
EFX 300 watt RMS high performance amp for the sub (will be adding a second sub and upgrading to an HD amp soon)
2 gauge wiring kits all around
12 disc CD-changer

Added LED electronic gauges:
Tranny temp
Oil pressure
Voltage

Now for the pics!

This is how i got it.

And here are what my lights look like at night. The one looking at the road is what it looks like and the next shows what lights you saw on the road. The ones with the headlights on and the fogs off (except for the very first one) have the HID high beams on that is why they are so bright.

And here is a rechargable flashlight that i got at wal-mart for $8. It is LED and VERY VERY bright. The first shows it charging in the lighter and the next shows in shining on the road. I highly recomend this.

The rest of the currant mods will be shown in a few days.

Now for the Stage 2 mods to come:

Headers and new exhaust
New suspension setup with coils shocks and the whole nine yards. And of course a lift
New tires, not sure how big yet
SUPERCHARGER and all that goes with it except the tranny mods
Convert to a manual Tranny!
Dual lockers

Then who knows what?.

If you have any questions about any of the mods I can make a write-up of them. I know that a lot of them have already been done so I will let ya?ll tell me what you want and what not.

Yes the wires are now cleaned up, this was taken just before a big trip and i didn't have time to clean them up before i left.

Pretty nice looking ride. I'm not a fan of the cheap looking fog lights you have all over the outside. They look terrible and cheap. I do like the grill guard and those fog lights.

I like it, but it looks confused.

I've never seen an "Off Road" vehicle with a sound system and glow....
It just seems to be a little confused, it wants to be everything at the same time, a super clean engine, clean paint and tires, enough fog lights to send morse code signals to the moon, a sound system, and be "Off road"....I dunno, just looks confused.

To each is own though, I'm sure it works for you, I just can't justify the money for that kind of stuff and taking a thousand pictures with not a single one of them being off-road (with the exception of it being on the grass.)

I'm sure you like it though, just hope you're not building it like that to do everything, I can't imagine spending the money to do all of that stuff and not upgrading the suspension or tires.

I like it all, except for the hood scoop.. It looks cheap next to all the other things you have on it, in my opinion.

And looking through the pics.. Where are you driving where you need 25 billion candlepower out the front end? It looks awesome, but it almost seems like too much.

I do like it though, don't take my comments negatively.. just constructive criticism.

Yeah, those are coming off pretty soon anyways, they were there for usefulness not looks. They worked so well it was hard to want to take them off.

Yeah it is a little off right now, this is only the first part ($$ ran out for this year). Once i get it done it will be a lot more off road ready. The LED was more a i can so thus i did type of thing.

And you would be amazed the radios in a LOT of the mild off roaders are actually nice. This is so you can have something to do on the trails. Plus most of us like it.

And don't worry the tires and lift and all that stuff is coming. I just need to get a few other things taken care of first. And i might get the Supercharger first if i can swing the $$. Once it is done it will be a weekend off-roader and once i get another DD it will be a trail rig.

One thing i did find about the LED's is that when i turn them on white they make great rock lights.

The scoop will be painted if i can find the color to match it to the hood to make it look better. And i am going to make it work by cutting a hole for it. Later i might get a proper CF hood but for now this will do.

And the lights are there for 2 reasons, all but like 2 of them were free and i don't ever seem to be able ot get to the trails before nightfall and thus always end up needing the light. it is nice for lighting up an outdoor event as well (did that a few months ago when the power went out...)

That sure as heck would be able to poke its way through a forest at night with all those lights, pretty sweet minus the said cheap look.

The rest looks great minus the wires that you can see a bunch.
Keep it up man.

I love all the fogs

not something i'd do for looks but it's handy

I am thinking about getting a suzuki samurai for hunting, fishing, and anything else messy and it's not gonna be pretty but it's gonna be practical

i'm gonna put as many lights on it as I can fit I wanna light foreward rearward and to the sides

when I want some extra light I want alot of light biglaugh.gif

wow don't know where to start.
i mean thats rice at its finest. Thats not just alitttle rice that u have in u.
I mean that cheap line of fire isn't suppose to go on the bumper like that, all the fog u have, all the wires are shown.
I do belive u have alot of nice things..but u went WAYYYYYYY over board and made it into a 4-runner ricer.
removing the cheap walmart lights, the fake line of fire, the fugly stick on ebay hood scoop might clean it up and make it look alot better.
