.. and I just finished wasting my night making this. 2 extra cathodes and toooo much free-time.

I made it to look like a neon sign from a south style pop trunk.

I kind of want to clean it up, suede it and toss it in the trunk, heh. No one does that crap in the north.

lmao, cardboard icon_lol.gif

It's kind of rough, but I think if I wrap it in fabric it'd actually look decent-ish, hehe.

thats funny (card board) well the glow like I said looks good.. I'm sure if I saw the card board I would have asked what the hell you were doing playing with cardboard at 3 in the morning he he biglaugh.gif

but yeah I totaly agree, If you wraped it in some type of fabric it would look sick...

you might want to re-enforce it though.. you know how weak cardboard is...

Yea, cardboard wasn't my first choice, but it's all I had laying around (later I found some foam board.. but it was too late, grr). If I had a good drill press/ unibit, or a router, or a jigsaw, or anything I would've used wood.

I went out today and indeed got a piece of fabric to cover it. Kind of black velvety stuff that matches my trunk carpet. I glued it on top and such, no I'm working on the tedious task of cutting the fabric out from the letter. Ugh. Not to mention it leaves little fibers everywhere and a semi-rough edge. No matter, I'll run a bead of CA glue over all the edges tomorrow once the letter are cut out.

I'll see how the cardboard stands.. it shouldn't really be in the danger zone of anything, but if it falls apart it falls apart, oh well. I'll just remake it with that foam board then icon_razz.gif

I like it. I know all about being bored with extra lights. Thus my bedroom lighting happened. biglaugh.gif

A bunch of these "H-Town" guys do that kind of thing, that's where I got the idea.

I dunno, that's what all those rappers like Paul Wall mean when they say "5th wheel recline", though. I guess it's baller status down there.

I don't wanna make another thread, so I'll just toss this in here.

Got the rear window tinted finally! This is probably gonna be the last thing I do to the Park Ave until when it gets a little warmer and I err to the air side of things. icon_twisted.gif

I noticed that, too. Added bonus glow that falls onto the Buick sticker wasn't even planned. woo.

Yea, it's 20% all around.
