thats like me saying why did you get a pontiac grand am and put "performance" parts on it trying to make it faster.. Its still going to be a grand am.

But my question to you is this.... Would you go out and rough the hell out of a $40,000 truck???

oh btw i take my wheels off for the winter time so i can use 4wd and protect my investment

He might not...but I do lol...and mine was 43K new but I got it used for 24900 marked down from 31000 icon_cool.gif

I dont beat the crap outta mine...but its the offroad addition for a reason....Im suprised I havent bent a tie rod yet biglaugh.gif

As for the wheels...your choice...just check your clearance..unless you have a leveling kit, going to lift it (which would look reallly weird with chrome street wheels) or plan on trimming the hell outta the fenderwall I dont know if the 26's will fit without some SERIOUS rubbing....

What size tire do you plan on running? The biggest tire you can fit with a 2" leveling kit is 35" if its an All Terrain tire or 33" if mud terrain....

If you get 26's you are going to have to run about a 30 series tire....IMO that is going to look ridiculous and give you some huge suspension problems down the road from street bumps and not enough rubber under the weight of your truck....

If you are going bigger you could do 24's....just make sure you measure for tire clearance 04...

Im personally going with a 20" wheel and a Mud Terrain tire....biggest I can fit without a lift though is 305/55/20....

If you do 24's the biggest tire you are going to be able to fit is going to be around 245-255 because of clearance problem....its going to look VERY narrow when looking at the rear of the truck...just my .02

so what do you use it for? a grocery getter or something? or do u actually use it for towing, hauling, or a field of work that requires you to have a truck?

did a little research....biggest tire you can fit on the 24's would be a 305/35/24 with some cutting to the front fenders in order to clear at full turn...

Biggest backspacing you can get on any wheel is 5.5" without have major rubbing issues

Hope that helps 04...I personally would be warry about running a 35 series tire on a vehicle that is as heavy as ours is...any pothole big enough could do some serious damage to the wheel or pop the tire.

Just becuase it is a truck doesn't mean it has to be a work truck. I want to get an s10 and bag it and body drop it and shave the handles. Not everybody buys trucks just for using it to haul and load stuff. He truck is ****. It is a show truck. Just like I have a show car. My car is pointless for anything but looking good and driving me around to places. But it is still a neon. But I have my personal touches just like he does which makes him love it just that much more. It has his touch. And isn't the same as every other truck out there.

right but an s10 and a f150 are different kinds of trucks....
and your neon can still be (more or less) used as a everyday car and be used to its fullest.

well if thats true then i cant go too much further... i guess what im getting at is im sick of seeing people drive around in larger trucks/suvs with nothing but themselves in the thing.... not even a system or some **** that needs X amount of room in the back.

Not a fan of the wheels. They are way too big IMO.

I really like those wheels. I just wouldn't get them that big... I'd have to see, but 24's might even be pushing it... I love the style though, as far as chrome wheels goes.

I think the wheels look good. And about people having trucks and not needing them or using them how you think is right, untill you come and pay for me a car that you think fits what i would use it for, I will pay for what I want and use it how I want.

enough with the vehicle discussion of what a vehicle should be used for....if you paid the money for it, its your vehicle...drive it off a cliff or paint it pink and purple...doesnt matter as long as YOU the owner like it...

04, the 26's look a little big IMO...the 24's would look nice on a drop...also keep in mind your truck is a 4x4 and that is an FX2 which allows him to drop it more....you are going to have a different look on yours because the stance itself sits about 1.5" higher than a stock 4x2....if you plan on dropping your truck just be aware of cost and problems you will encounter because of the 4 wheel drive components....

and again I will state my worry regarding the height of the sidewall of the tire

If the truck is 4wd I'd rather see a big rim with a big tire. I don't like 4wd trucks with rubber band tires, but thats personal opinion and your already getting plenty of those in your thread.

My suggestion is keep the 22's and buy bigger tires. If I do the 6" lift on my truck I'm going with 22's and 35's

I wouldn't go with 26s. The 22s already look perfect on there so 24s at the biggest I think.

Imma bag and body drop my s-10...but still haul around my Quad and dirtbike when I want to go riding. Also going to put a big ass stereo in it...WHY? because I can.

24's would look ****. 26's are just ....2 inches too big icon_razz.gif
