That thing is badass. It looks amazing. The Mugen version has a different spoiler, body kit, wheels, suspension and exhaust. I sounds great. 6 Speed. I love it and would buy it if I could afford it. Anybody else driven one?

The speed of the Mugen SI would collapse both of his lungs at once.

Its not quite that fast, but the seats in it fit me just right. The support on the side is great. They are the same seats as in the Civic SI though.

ZX3 icon_lol.gif you make it too easy Robbie icon_wink.gif

I would personally take an Evo over that thing....wheels are too small and the body just looks elongated....EVO or STI flows a lot better as a whole IMO

Yes sir kyle, i am getting a black ZX3 5SPD, i couldn't wait to do the swap so i am going to get a 5spd and be done with it.

IMO the new evo's look big and just cheap. They barely look different from the stage before them. The STI's of course look dumb as hell. Why they would take that car and do that is beyond me. The mugen 2008 civic is nice and prolly cuts insurance a little but does it come stock turbo? That would be my complaint if it did not. For me even the focus from 08 is just plain retarded.

If i was buying a car i would say 2004 EAP SVT Focus FTW!!! biglaugh.gif

^^^ I don't know what they call it but the focus SVT comes in a similar trim package as that STI. They call it a hatch wagon.

I say any car you are gonna pay extra like that for should bare a turbo IMO.

The Mugen Si barely performs any differently than a regular Si. The engine is the exact same, just different exhaust, wheels, suspension, spoiler, lip kit and logos. It also only comes in blue, but it is a nice blue. Definitely not worth the extra money IMO, I prefer my Si coupe by far.

I kid, i Kid. Who cares what we don't like and do like. Tis a nice car. Just not everyone's cup of tea. I am not a fan of ever car from every maker. I don't like most hondas. But the integras, the NSX, and the prelude are awesome cars. NO ONE likes ford. But i love my focus and will be buying foci till they aren't available anymore.

I don't like honda either. Its a forum board. Used to voice ones opinion. Sue me. I personally don't think it looks all that good. It just doesn't flow like said above. And the price on it is ridiculous!!!!!!!! It is a freaking honda civic with a body kit and some wheels. Pfft. I can't believe someone would pay that much for a factory kitted civic.

AND btw. Civic si aren't all that fast. Yes faster than my moms minivan. But for half the cost of that car you can have a srt. Which will PWN that car. ****. My friends 1st gen will pwn that thing ANY day and he paid a grand for the car and has about 3 grand in parts. Runs 12s. Those cars run what like 30k? The almighty vtech isn't anything special.

^^I am pretty sure it is. I think I remember him posting about it. IF so then yes. It will take that little civic any day. The car insn't that fast. Isn't 4wd. Doesnt' flow all that well(just my opinion). And costs as much as a evo8. Which has all of that and will take that car any day in reverse. So why do people like these so much? I really want to know

Well, Its not all about speed. I bet that civic is a whole lot more reliable than a SRT-4. SRT-4 are badass cars though. Good gas milage, pretty quick and very reliable. Thats why people like them so much. Life isn't a drag race....

The day people are buying my car on the lot and driving home with it like that from the factory for 30k you can come back to me biglaugh.gif

And losing. Srts are actually very reliable. Most people that own them mod the **** outta them though. And they push it to the limit and that is obviously why things go wrong so soon. You take a stock one drive it like any normal person I bet it will easily last 100k.

ANd I never said it as all about speed. I know it isn't. Just someone above said they were fast as hell etc bla bla.

Word. Its the cool thing to rag on Civics.... icon_rolleyes.gif Especially if you drive big, gas guzzling SUV's. I find it amusing that nobody can accurately find anything bad to say about the car other than it is a bit expensive, but it is rare and its a Mugen version. "its ***" sorry, but thats lame.

^^ Cobra= Overdone. Anymore every pretty boy on the block has one. Unless you can find one of the pnes prior to about 2000? or 2001. They are just not viewed as rare. He already said it wasn't about the power.

My bud wants a mugen civic hardcore. **** is exspensive though. I love the styling and such but i like this style mugen civic more.

Go look at some numbers and don't base rarity off your opinion. You say that they are rare if produced before 2000. If you go look at the numbers, Cobras produced after 2000 will be more rare than those produced before 2000. I don't see very many Cobras driving around. GT on the other hand, different story.

Here's the number of Cobras produced in America for the past ten years.

1998 - 8,654
1999 - 8,095
2000 - 300 (All Cobra R)
2001 - 7,251
2002 - 0 (100 went to Australia)
2003 - 13,476 (Cobra 10th anniversary editions)
2004 - 5,664
2005 - 0
2006 - 0
2007 - 0
2008 - 0

I see tons of the ones past 2000 driving around. between 2001-2003 there were more made then in 1998 and 1999 alone. I like the 1998 cobra. There are less of those driving around then 1999 and up. The 1999-2004 are played out. They IMO just aren't as rare. If i wanted a badass mustang i would buy a Mach 1 or a Roush. Hell a steeda would be more rare than a cobra.

^^^ Great you killed a 4cyl with a V8. Doesn't seem fair. Let the honda drop a turbo in. Then go to the track and see if you still stand a chance. I don't think you will.

I watched a SRT-4 PWN a mustang Mach 1. In a straight run. Or how's about going against a turbo Acura RSX Type-S. The thing puts 200 to the wheels factory on a 4 cyl.

Yeah the focus is fun. I would never drag it, the car isn't made to drag. IT does better on a track with tight turns or rally of course. Rally cars pwn huge trucks off road. biglaugh.gif

Nice sig quote Robbie. icon_biggrin.gif

I want a Civic so I can JAP it out and turbo it, but I also want an S10 or S10 Blazer so I can air it out, install a phantom grill, and a huge system...

Every car has it's own purpose/specialty.

I might sell the bimmer... biglaugh.gif

^^ Bleh subaru was good in like 203-2004. The new ones blow. The focus has been world champ over many other cars far longer. The thing kills. I want to see a Civic do rally. That would make all my WRC dreams come true.

Thanks man, you make the best. I want a Geo, so i can do stuff and win shows with it. Then i want a civic, because i want to drive a euro and a japanese car. Screw american.

figured since i am the big honda enthusiast on here and work on hondas all day long i would chime in....lol

the mugen is really nothing more than just fancy looks and slight upgrades to teh SI and is not worth the price tag on it....now if you are good you just get the kit honda uses (and yes you can get it) and slap it on an si and there you have it a "mugen" version of the car which still means nothing really....yea it looks sharp but why spend the extra cash unless you really like it then i say go for it...there will always be people criticize things you do i hear it every day driving my car but to each there own
i still prefer the d series my self

now for the people who claim hondas are slow or what not....anything can be fast its just how deep your pockets are....our shop has a 2000 hatch running a d series motor runnning 9's in the 1/4 mile...mine daily driver will soon be running 350 HP and i have only spent 600 bucks ;) so yea i am done lol

Fugly car... The coupes aren't bad but the four-doors are nasty.

Nice shade of blue though.

Lol, If I had a Mc.Job and was a sniveling 110lb punk, i'd drive a honda to save gas, but i'm not.

I live in this country where I am so lucky to drive what I like and need, so I buy big GAS HOGGING SUV's.

Who's driving? and what kind of suspension? You can take a Honda civic hatchback, or whatever you guys like and come against my super tall "tip-crazy" Tahoe, infact, put a turbo on the honda so its kicking like 195HP instead of 140HP with 55Ft.LBS of torque.

I guarantee at the first turn @ 85MPH you spiral into a tree, I'll just drop it down and take the turn sideways.

of course this would turn into a debate about how hondas suck or how much gas SUVs use...i like both so i say it depends on whatever you like, and people should respect what other people enjoy whether it be hondas or tahoes

DJ- Apparently your stuck on civics period. This thread was about the 4dr. SI Mugen. Your Tahoe in the turns, against a turbo SI Mugen has nothing. The thing is lowered and has a Tuned suspension on the twin Motegi Tracks. So if you really want to try and out handle a turbo 2008 Mugen. I would love video because that thing would rip your tahoe to pieces in the turns.

Losing if you ever get the money get that thing. People say why buy an svt. It has 35 more hp and a 6spd. I say because it's different then your everyday focus. And the mugen would def be more rare than your every day civic sedan. Look in the other thread Recon got an R32 #4488 of 5000. Rare is always a cool thing on top of it its a damn nice car.

P.S.- DJ look at this site, the mugen clearly starts with 197. I am pretty sure with a tune, a turbo, and the already present Cat-back. It would put out well over 200.

Also how would you fare against a civic boasting 805 hp, that can set off car alarms with a single shift?

BTW: I set off car alarms just by starting my truck. It's all in the exhaust.

Your right i know nothing about cars.

But the fact remains a turbo 2008 Mugen would eat your truck in a track.

Your accord would red line into a nearby tree, even with the suspension. Theres only 2 ways your taking a hairpin turn..

Slowing down- or ripping up the e-brake to "rice-drift" the turn.

I won't do either.

Guys don't you know, our light little low center of gravity cars are prone to flipping at high speeds in corners. It has been tested and a tahoe can take any corner at any speed. (45mph) biglaugh.gif

Dude get over your Toe. The thing would do terrible on a track. Want to see a real race of turns. We will take, losings accord, your Toe, my focus, and Sick's civic to atuo cross. I am sure after one heat EVERY cone will be gone from your truck. YOou can go fast straight and slight turns. When it comes to tight stuff like Auto X. You wouldn't make it past the first turn.

BTW saw a Mugen Civic today in bowling Green driving around had a temp tag in the back window.
