2593 caps. I picked a Mickey's Malt Liquor cap for the center. Gold cap with a Hornet that looks like the old Charlotte Hornet logo/mascot.

Finished putting the trim/edging on tonight and painted it. Had a gap on one end that I filled with 30 caps from 30 diffrent beers lots of cool caps not every day stuff.

Let the paint dry and cure really well, then going to start laying down all the epoxy for the glass top finish.

Not a huge Guinness fan, but when I see people drinking it from a can/bottle it's absurd.

For a company that is obsessed about the pouring of their product to put it in a can is pretty foolish. Widget or no widget.

x2, out where I live we play with 10 cups. Takes roughly 2 cans, the way we play.

but none the less, very awesome project. I love the bottle caps idea..I would never have the patients to do that ****.

I have always played 6 cup with 2 beers. I dislike drinking warm beer. More cups on the table the longer it takes the warmer the beer gets. To me there is no real difference in number of cups. If you play for 5 hours you with 200 cups or 10 you drink the same amount of beers.

My house rules.
Air Ball- If the opposition catches the ball behind the edge of the table without contact with the table or a cup the throwing teaming takes a cup.

Isolation/Babe Ruth- You can call your shot, pick one cup if you make that cup it counts for two. If you throw and it goes in a cup you did not pick you have to take two cups from your side. No punishment for missing.

2 Racks- When there is 3 cups left, they can be put into a straight line or a triangle. (People freak out at the rule) But if you hit the middle cup then you have two separate targets. Think about?

Bouncing for two, no blowing or fingers. It's to hard to judge.

Pull sunk cups.

Lets see...

10 cups

re-rack at 6 and 3, triangle only.

If the ball rolls back on the table to the other side, you can pick it up and shoot it behind your back and if you sink it that's 2 cups.

Bounce for two w/ no blowing or fingering

Pull cups, if you forget and the same cup is made it's another cup. Two if the second shot was bonced.

House rules here:

10 cups 3 beers.

2 re-racks at anytime, not during a turn.

If you and partner both make, balls back shoot again.

If you and partner both make SAME cup, 3 cups gone, balls back.

Bounce counts for 2. Once ball hits table or cup you can swat / blow / finger whatever you want to keep it from going in. Bounce usually takes some strategy to be able to make.

Finger or blow is legal.

If ball bounces back to you and stays on table get to shoot behind the back for win (opppsing team can rebuttal)

One Rebuttal. They make last cup, you and partner get a chance to shoot to tie the game. You shoot until you miss, if you can make all the remaining cups goes into 3 v 3 triangle 1 beer each sudden death. (No rebuttal in this rematch)

Out games tend to be fast with lots of beer being consumed

I've been SUPER lazy on this project, it's on a spare room that is full of signs and other random stuff I have picked up from working in bars. It's like a man cave storage center. I gave away about 1,500 caps to a guy who is building a project like mine recently. I started collecting caps again...

5 Gallon bucket full of Busch Light caps.

I have caps everywhere in my house, my desk drawer, change cups, drawers, next to my washer. I have a big jug at work half full, I need to do a round up and get them organized again.

The project will be finished soon though.... I'm pumped for it.

Seriously. My bestfriend back home is starting to slowly buy the pieces for our table. Gonna do a Hangover themed table with a glass top so we can do some light up peices and its easy to clean. and hopefully gonna be putting in a auto ball washer system
