remember this is all IMO

I see all these pictures on here of people with underbody glow and I have to say 99% of them look like crap. what's the deal with not making ur car have a full body under glow. once again IMO 4 bars of light coming out from each side of your cars looks just like well... 4 bars of light coming from under ur car. What happened to the days when people actually had a full under body glow, when it looked like the car was actually "glowing from the inside" the whole 4 side glow doesn't hold a flame to the even all around glow. Just curious what happened to those original kits that would give you that look I guess.

Lots of people switched to LED kits instead on neon kits. That is a large part of the difference.

Do you have about $1800 ? cause that's what it would take to make a full ICELED under glow.
Thats why I don't have a full under glow kit. Although with twisting the tubes some people could get a full glow kit out of an LED kit.

I couldn't agree more, to be honest . And Hoola's right, its mostly the fault of the LED kits . With the neon kits in the day they sort of naturally filled out the effect, but with the LED kits you've got to make a special effort to come up with a lighting solution for the dark spots and buy extra products . Its just a step that most people don't take .
But instead of gettin' steamed about it just look at it as an opportunity to do things your way and then stand out . icon_biggrin.gif (And then post pics) .

Agreed, it would probably cost quite a bit of extra money (although 1,800 seems a bit much), which in these times can be hard to come across

I guess I came off as mad, not really my intention. I was just posing a question (thus why I kept saying IMO) hoping people would realize that I wasn't *****, just curious as to what happened. Was it a trend change, was it the lighting the changed etc. As you and Hoola stated, it was a lighting style change that seems to be mostly responsible for the change.

Since the 2 people who posted about it costing &1800 have ICELED listed in their avatars I can only assume they're fans of iceled products. I can't say one way or the other as I personally have not used either, but from just looking at what Ozinum sells it seems like I could accomplish full body under glow for about 1/3 of the above mentioned price or even go to more extremes with more tubes. But I have no personal experience as of yet with either product so maybe someone else can say.

$449.99 - Inferno V2 Million Color Advanced LED Underbody Kit X1 = 449.99
$ 12.99 - FlowLighting Splitter Blaze & Single Color X2 = 25.98
$ 34.99 - FlowLighting Inferno 1-Foot Extension Tube X5 = 174.95

Total = 650.92 + 4.20 S/H = 655.12

My true set-up would be:
Full UFO
2ft Expansion

Add:
Two 2ft bars (side expansion)
Two 4ft bars (sides)
Two 3ft bars (front/rear)

$2,419.92

-------------------------------------------
I currently have:
$2,194.86 in ICELED products

I want to add:
$1,073.87 in ICELED products

Why don't more people get four 6' flexible beefy strips? If you want multiple colors or patterns then that is why. That aside, they're at a low price ( >$250), have more coverage than any kit, and have no fussy controller, just on or off like any other light on the car. 2 wire install for dummies, stellar glow for geniuses. I <3 mine oh so much!!!

You have something wrong here. V2 & V1 aren't compatible.

All you need is a V2 and the 6" extension tubes, however many you need/want.

Another thing to note. If you want that expanding glow. The only way to TRUELY do it and still have any patterns at all is with ICELED. Flowlighting doesn't have the technology that ICELED has in it. Yes you can add strips to the ends to go with the colors. But any and all patterns it will NOT follow.

Some people want to have that seamless glow and not have any patterns(i.e. you). Which is fine and great. It is indeed a very cool look. Others prefer to take that sacrifice and have crazy patterns and unlimited control. ME! biglaugh.gif

O had a Flow Lightning kit - While it looked great, i'm going to go with something different this time around. I see a lot of guys here are into the patterns - and thats fine, I'm not. 1 solid color is all I want.

I was going to go with beefy strips, but I see they don't have orange. The Flex strips are more expensive, but I really want orange so i'll be going with those.

Don't front G, here it is, 360* glow, 26' of Inferno tubes, even better than just wheel to wheel, we don't mess around in the Midwest.

Besides the back (which is going to need individual modules due to the shape, I've recently added 4 SMD bars to each side to supplement the 6 foot flex strips, it's wheel to wheel now, and spreads alot nicer than it did with flexible alone. Still need to do the rear bumper though. icon_rolleyes.gif

It's the simple little $99.00 PowerShot A590IS. Got it for $99 at Amazon on sale, still can find it for that price around the internet. Simple point and shot, but I was using the program / manual setting for longer exposure times. Takes amazing videos too.

No tinted headlights, those are all stock. To even replace the headlights, bumper needs to be taken off, so no HIDs even. Stock halogen capsules + stock housings.

Once the factory start production, it will likely be about 3 months before we have them on our shelves. And we are holding out on re-ordering until we're ready to place a larger order (including Inferno V1, and Single Color).

Sorry again.

It's simply cost effective for our business structure & pricing model, and the price would skyrocket if we would arrange production with only a few kits. Hopefully this makes some sense. Also, to keep the cost down, any future large production V2 kits would be grouped with the same order of V1/Single Underbody Kits to reduce shipping costs. This may be a bit frustrating, I understand, but at the same time try to look at it from the companies perspective. If we were to order such a small amount, with an ungrouped order, even with frieght via boat the retail price would jump to almost 150%-200%. All and all, it's just not viable at this time, for the company, or consumer.

Phil would have to answer this, our system decides the accounting of it all, based on demand, price, and qty. needed of other kits that would be ordered. Thanks for understanding. icon_biggrin.gif
