It's very Japanese.

I personally don't like the look, but it's a cool mod!

Would be good if they were wired to come on with doors open, not so good if they are on with the headlights. Shows the versatility of the strips well though, many possibilities!

Our cars all look like disco flying saucers, I'm not sure we're in any position to be throwing the 'tacky' stone at anyone . biglaugh.gif There would be no place for it on my car either but it looks like a very well-executed install and an original idea; kudos to the owner . icon_biggrin.gif

Phil where do you get these customer installs that you sometimes post ? Do they send them to your directly or post them as action shots or something ? This makes me wonder if there's all sorts of other cool installs being done whose owners never post to the forums . icon_surprised.gif

Would look much better if it didnt look like a small christmas tree the way the lights were done.

Good idea but take it a bit further. Think about embedding the LED's into a frosted glass application possibly and have it lightup the symbol so the LED's cannot be seen, but the symbol still glows.

I don't know if highlighting an emblem will ever be hot. All I can think of is the old illumiglo Honda emblems from 10 years ago, and it makes me want to punch baby hamsters.

Granted, it appears this was applied to the Mercedes clown-car, so I supppose it is quite fitting. rofl.gif
