I am not a fan of beer..at all. Horrible taste.

I am more into mixed drinks...current favorite captain and coke. I wanna try something new..I am about to try Rockstar Punched energy drink and captain.

Any other ideas to try?

252 is a shot my buddy claims to have invented. It's half Bacardi 151, and half Wild Turkey 101...goodluck.

I'm mostly jack n coke or a bucket of beer.

My drink of choice is rum and coke.

Good mixed drinks:
June Bug (Malibu + banana liqueur + melon liqueur + pineapple juice)
Screwdriver (vodka + orange juice)
Whiskey Sour (Whiskey + Sweet and Sour)
Alabama Slammer (Souther Comfort + Amaretto + Grenadine + OJ)
Amaretto Sour (Amaretto + Sweet and Sour, I also like to add in some white soda)
Bahama Mama (look up, I am not sure of everything. Lots of rum)
those are just a few off the top of my head.

The infamous Pickle Shot, coined by my bartender friend apparently. Shot of your favourite vodka, and a pickle. I know it sounds weird but that's what I thought until I tried one. I never liked the taste of vodka but take the shot and then eat the pickle afterwards and your all good. Picture from my last time at the bar with my ma and friends before she shipped out.

I've had the Jerimiah Weed's stuff, it's decent. But Bacardi makes some 'rum island tea' and it is effing delicious.

it's like $15 a bottle and everyone will enjoy.

EDIT - Nevermind. 6oz. would be a huge shot, haha. I've had a Washington Apple shot though, that's what I thought of.

Is that a mixed drink, or a shot? Sounds tasty.

When I'm not drinking beer, it's usually a whiskey sour. Although I've had some really bad ones so I tend to only order beer unless I'm mixing it myself.

I didn't know Jerimiah Weed made sweet tea vodka. We get either Burnett's which isn't bad, or Firefly, the best. Burnett's also make flavored vodka's (i.e. Mango/lime) that also go great with sweet tea.

Tasting Notes:
This delight just screams springtime nama. It's fresh, fresh flavor is alive with a fruitiness that may come across a touch sweeter than it actually is. This sake tastes alive and makes me happy to be alive. This is so yummy you can easily drink more than you perhaps should.

Great nothing like drinking so much fruity **** that you puke! Might as well go pound down some Smirnoffs or zema's! icon_rolleyes.gif

Smirnoff vodka and enough red gatorade to make it "drinkable" and then just a bit more gatorade. I'm simple like that lol. Sounds odd but tastes good.

I only had a little bit of rockstar left..it calls for 75% Rockstar and 25% captain..which I really like the flavor too..finished the night off with captain and coke...now I am almost out of captain..

No pickle shot yet. No vodka or pickles at the moment.

I'm a bartender. If your order a Washington Apple you get a shot. Any drink could be made into a mix drink. Agreed.

Citron with Sprite and Lemon.
Captain and Diet Pepsi is far superior to any soda rum combo to me.
I'm a big Crown Royal fan though.

Vegas Bomb.. Shot glass with 1/2 Crown 1/2 Butterscotch schnapps.
Dropped into Red Bull like a Jager Bomb or Car bomb. Tastes just like a Weber's Original candy.

Depending on the venue/bar you might have to start as a bar back or waiter. I have taken a few alcohol intervention courses. Basically it's all about how much to serve a person and when to cut them off and how to do it properly. Some places will require their own course you need to take or any certification of completion is sufficient. Typically it's an afternoon with a test much like a CPR certification. There is obviously bar tending schools, I never attended a formal training school. Learned as I went, I was a bus buy, barback, security at a lot of different venues. Learned as I went.

Being clean and on time, having transportation, answering your phone, eager to work and earn money. Be hungry. Common sense is huge. It's a personality as well, have to be very social. IF you can tell them you will pick up shifts if needed, tell them "If you get in a jam with a schedule give me a call last minute if you need me, I can always use the money". Sadly the bar business is full of people who pretty much come and go quickly so no shows are pretty common. I once saw a bartender walk out the back door in the kitchen like she was smoking a cigarette and just left. Didn't tell anyone mid-shift.

Anyways, I'm gonna start looking next week setting up interviews for my day off next friday.

Thanks for the heads up.
