I know there is a topic about this from 5 years ago but I think it could be revisited now with all the new products out.

I am on a roller derby team and I am looking to push the limits of what's legal on the track - I'm finding myself upgrading my skates to the teeth and so why not investigate some lights since there's nothing in the rules banning them yet? icon_twisted.gif

This is what there is to work with:

Superflux LEDS connected to a AA battery holder tucked underneath the arch of your skate bottom. Hook up as many as you can mount, look at the product and figure out what you can maneuver, this is like the skateboard install but smaller.

I love the derby the local Shriners has it every few months, we get **** drunk and cheer on the chicks it's flat ground chicks out here.

I say use these

https://www.oznium.com/led-bolts-prewired-leds/led-modules

Or use a whole 2 feet of https://www.oznium.com/flexible-led-strips/flexible-tri-chip-ribbon-leds

and wrap it all under neath the skate(s)

You can power it with 4 cr123a batteries, The battery cell will be the smallest you can go and have 4-8 hours of light.

Or you can do a single 12V battery and run dunno how long. 30mins ?

The small strips or foot long strips will be way bright.

you can check out how bright a meter long strip is http://crystal-image.org/evo/

hooked up to the smallest battery you can find that puts out around 12v. Tuck that ish into your tongue and BAM. done.

The 23A battery holder and batteries are small, and amazing. Just stock up on batteries.
