If you're looking to save money and it's cheaper, then who cares? Or find a used tire. Find someone selling an OEM set from a WRX or something. You have options, stop complaining.

Yes, I'm still alive. Still living the crazy life that I call my own.

Dusty is right, I'm still "new" to the job. This week will complete my 5th week at the place. I'm loving it so far, work with some good people and the work isn't too bad.

Dusty is also correct in that I'm at the beginning stages of removing my V2. Its decided to not work properly again. I think the plan is to kind of turn it into an interior only kit. I've got a **** ton of the 6" tubes so we can make something pretty sweet happened.

Autozone used to sell stuff from Duplicolor called Mirage that was a 3 step process and came with three spray cans in a box. I can't find it around here anymore, I tried Advance, Autozone, Meijer, Walmart, Target.

I ended up ordering this from Amazon - "Colorshift" from Rustoleum http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=463

Anybody have a good source for purple angel eyes? CCFL is fine. I need a pair 100mm and maybe 140mm.

Check out oracle lights for the angel eyes. They are pretty proud of their stuff and are selling them for about 200 for a set. That is crazy. I know they have purple though.

That Rustoleum paint is sold at my local Autozone.

We have some...I think its duplicolor color changing paint here. It's a 3 can, 3 stage painting process.

Seriously considering cathodes for some projects since I want a true purple and not a UV LED. Man, looking at cathodes in the store brought back some crazy old memories.

Cathodes still aren't really a true purple. They've always been more of a lilac kind of purple (with more white than a solid color).

I would try to find an RGB LED, something with an SMD or 50/50 so that the colors blend as well as they can, and get the ability to program it to the exact color you want. That'll get you the best color and most light, if you actually want a true purple.

You sure you're not thinking of UV cathodes? They have UV, purple, and pink on the market. My decals are "grape" though, not a deep dark purple. So I think these cathodes will match pretty well.

Purples

I would bet a lot of money that those are UV cathodes in the picture. I had purple cathodes on the ceiling of my white Legacy for a couple of years, so I looked at them a lot.

Order a set and see what they look like in person before you commit to buy a lot. Cameras can be deceiving (for example, my Canon always made the cathodes look blue rather than purple).

Fo sho, gotchya. I also edited my post while you were replying. My decals are "grape" and not a deep purple and my angel eyes are purple CCFL's, so it should match. I ordered a couple sets, I'll see how it goes. Worst case scenario I buy some RGB's. icon_razz.gif

Looking to buy a nicer bike. Exercising and casual use with the wife. Budget of 350. Would like to buy something off of amazon as I have 250 in credit with them to use up.

Should I buy a road bike or go hybrid? I am thinking hybrid due to a little better durability when we are going up curbs and such. But not sure if it will be a huge difference. As I will be using it more for working out than just casual wife cruising.

Was looking at this one if i go road bike

or somethign like this for a hybrid.

Hybrid allows you to bike on unpaved/gravel paths which opens a lot of options for bike rides as a lot of parks have unpaved bike paths.

Yeah, wander around where you live. See how many paved riding areas there are, and how many gravel/dirt riding areas there are. Personally I'd get a "hybrid" if I were to go that route. Strictly road bikes are good for distance riding, and stamina training. Hybrids are a good all around bike, but don't plan on going any long distances on them comfortably.

EDIT: And you don't "go up curbs" on a road bike. You ride on the road/bike lane or not at all. You'll get beat to death riding on a sidewalk or anything like that.

After thinking about it for a while and doing a bunch of research I went with a road bike. Due to the fact that I have a mountain bike downstairs that I can ride when with the wife. When alone I want to move and move fast and have fun doing it. And I was afraid like alot of people were saying that I would grow bored with the hybrid.

Went with this one

User posted image

Cost was right and all the reviews were saying it was the best bike you can get in this price range. Excited as **** to get it tuesday. Taking it to a local store to get it tuned after assembly. Can't wait to ride.

Road bike is definitely the way to go, you made a good choice there. Personally I'm not sure I would have purchased off amazon without going into a store and checking out a similar version and getting the size right.

I have an like 5 year old Trek 1000 Discovery channel edition that I love. Needs a tune up as I didn't do that last year at all. I'm thinking that after this year, I can hopefully upgrade to something a little new nicer.

Kitchen is officially finished in our house.

Newness includes:
Paint
Range hood
Countertops
Tile backsplash(Just finished this to complete everything)

Looks a billion times better than when we moved in 3 years ago.

On to the next project of redoing the backyard.

Yeah...it actually looks good. I've been browsing for a house for many months now and I can't find anything I'm happy with that's within my price range. I think I'm actually going to move out of the area so I've expanded my search quite a bit.

Looks realy good, though. Happy for you and Andrea.

requested and was told i could have a 7 day vacation last month for next week... next week comes around i'm working every day. i requested this thursday to next wednesday off. i have my weekend, one comp day then vacation days i'm required to get.

he gave me my weekend, comp day and 1 vacation day all this week then nothing next week.

my boss told me he forgot and now denies ever telling me it was approved and how he isn't going to give me the days off. all of this "i forgot" and "you don't get the days off" was over text. He has no back bone. We'll see tomorrow how it works out. I have 2 other job offers on the table and looks like i'll be moving pretty soon.

I'm curious if i should tell him he set himself up for termination and he won't be with the company for more than 3 weeks... mmmm... i'll let him wait.

yup. Now i'm curious. I have 2.5 weeks of vacation payout i'd get when i put in a 2 weeks notice. Shall I use that full 2.5 weeks to try to find a non retail job, stay in retail and have the same level position making 14-24% more, or invest every penny i have into my own thing......tough choices........

yup. other than that. not a hole lot is super big.

Retail jobs suck regardless. Just saying. If you have no other option then ok, but if you can get out then go. Trust me.

i threw a resume on monster last night.

idk if it's garbage jobs, pyramid companies, or what, but i had 5 phone calls this morning asking about these things.... the first two i told them i didn't apply to their business and told them to have a good day... idk. weird. but looks like it's time to start looking while i'm on my mini stay at home vaca.

Don't rely on people to find you. Actively look for something. You can find positions that have similar work but are not in retail -- work in an office doing basic accounting or something. Hell, even a warehouse type job is less stressful and probably pays more.

i need to look. on my to do list for this weekend. the job isn't stressful. it's actually entertaining because its always, 'what do i need to fix now cuz my boss is retarded'. it's the point when someone who is stubborn and stuck in the 70's doesn't see change that is good for the business, it just a waste of my time. so time to move on if he isn't getting canned (i'll know next week)
