I had a dream just now, I just woke up, that I was rideing with pOrk and he turned on his ICE and it was so sweet. Now that dream can come true, except with my car.

The dream was we were all at some glow off thing, and I was in pOrk's car. But everyone was inside a giant freezer. It was very cold. Anywho, I'll buy one of these. Hopefully it'll light up my whole inside...

This would be a good buy if I had a Zen. The stand alone mode is cool but I would prefer getting it stuck on one color. Someday. 5-10 years from now when I am playing proffesional baseball I will be a driving ICE LED billboard. Lots and lots of ICE!

If it could I would consider putting it on my Christmas List which I have already given to my parents because the things I want won't be around during the holiday shopping rush(Nintendo DS, 4th Generation iPod to replace my 1st generation iPod that died on me 3 weeks ago)

Damn i just read up on the DS i never new it existed. That thing is wierd the 2 screens is a little over played if they had the maps on the lower corner of one screen i could care less but the touch screen and sound command sounds awesome $200 preorder at walmart. Back to the Tron those pics make it look like the narrower beam is brighter than the flood.

TRON uses the same high-quality oval pattern LED used in UFO tubes (35 degrees x 70 degrees) - but the beams are rotated to produce a more intense pool of light. They have all the same sophisticated electronic features as the other ICELED light sources... which is why they can also safely produce alot more light than is possible from simple LED products icon_twisted.gif

The total output being oval, gives less coverage than a FLOOD but the intensity is getting there icon_wink.gif

Maybe I'm just a bit slow, but how can 9 LEDS, Red, Green, and Blue, make up 2,000,000+ colors? Lets see, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.......7 colors is all that I can come up with that you can have with those LEDS. How do they get 2,000,000 colors?

Unlike normal 7-color LED kits, the ICELED tubes have the ability to control the brightness of an LED - instead of your tradition on and off.

There is more fading and shading and whatnot involved when dimming the LEDs, thus making more colors.

I'm sure Adrian could get more technical than that, but yeah!

Right-on Aken icon_lol.gif There's a little computer chip in there that mixes the colours by varying the current in the LEDs.

If it's just wired to 12Volts like it runs its own program to sweep through the visible spectrum...

This diagram shows how it starts off white when powered-up then goes through a smooth color sweep that takes 100 seconds before it repeats. You can also stop it on any color by briefly interrupting its power supply (i.e. flick the switch)

If it's connected to an ICELED controller by a third wire it simply does whatever it's told - so you can get complete control over your glow icon_biggrin.gif

Using the Tron in a wheel would require 2 per wheel? Plasma Glow Fusion wheel well kit has 2 tubes per wheel well. If you mounted a Tron at the top of your wheel well wouldn't it be spotty on top of the tire?

Its just depends on the light unit and how far away from the wheel the units are placed.

and the ICELED wheel well kit is cheaper but i don't know if its better, but they are using the floods so it may be better but i don't know.

If you mounted a tron in your wheel well it wouldn't look spotty. That's one of the great things about ICELED. No spots.
