its an article on a 1034 whp supra bragging about beating a "modded" hayabusa at 180 whp. it must not have too much on it seeing as stock they are around 170 and the new special series busa is alot closer to 180-190. or so i have heard. either way. i want to find a really modded busa and find this supra. bikes and cars are not in the same class. icon_evil.gif also the amount of money this guy dumped into that car vs what was probably in the busa is probably around 20k more than the busa. icon_evil.gif icon_evil.gif icon_evil.gif icon_evil.gif icon_evil.gif

in the long run a street rocket will always be faster than a street car so long as money is continuously spent on each. the modded busa the guy was talking about probably just had a 4-1 with a slip on. i really dont think much else was added for it to still be under 200whp.
but yea, this magazine is all about supras wrx's 350z's and eclipses. also scions too. that drew my attention.

yea and when you have even half the power of a car on a bike, it will destroy it. this is why cars and bikes will ALWAYS be in a different class of their own. its people like this supra owner that **** me off because he makes a car to specifically beat a well known fast rocket. he does so. but no where in the article does it mention what has been done to the busa and what could be done to it. think about just putting a turbo on it, that would probably put it over. maybe an outside airbox as well. god when people try to race bikes, its like they are asking for trouble. bikes > cars ... in speed. someone out there will crush his hopes and dreams.

or the one that ends up having 701hp. you cant do **** with any of that though. those tunes are just for **** and giggles, no streetable bike is going to hook with anything above 400.

i have a couple vids at home of a white mkIV beating a slightly modded busa, so i guess its a safe bet this is him. i was pretty surprised, but who knows, the driver of the busa could have just been ****.

also, he probably still runs 12s @ 150mph biglaugh.gif

turbo required for such performance = massive
spool time required for said turbo = insane; 1/16 - 1/8 mile

Freeway runners... not good on the track icon_razz.gif There's a local guy here that's got a MarkIV Supra and he turned in a 9.91 @ 140.xx on 18" street tires, which is pretty damn impressive in Supra terms. He also raced and stayed beside a turbo'd R1000, but I dunno how good those bikes are (not into the 'cycle scene) icon_cool.gif

eh, im content having a bike, for now anyways, that runs low 11's and can get 45mpg. maybe in a few years ill find me a nice turboed zx12r and go hunting, but for now i think im set.

edit// im bored, here are links to turbo bikes on ebay

heh seeing these two stretched hayabusas reminds me of the first time i went to SC for the first day of college, and driving in the car with my parents, saw a guy on a stretched, chromed busa wearing shorts, tank top, sandals, and sunglasses icon_rolleyes.gif

supercharged? kinda different i guesshttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-SUPERCHARGED-GSXR-1000-The-ULTIMATE-ride_W0QQitemZ4563503679QQcategoryZ50029QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i have actually seen it thats why this tool racing a 1034whp supra with a 180whp busa is a joke, if anyone reading the article new what a hayabusa runs stock they would laugh when they say that one is "modded" if you did to the busa around the same amount of performance as was done to the supra, you would need to probably put a wheelly bar out of titanium 8-13 feet behind you and lay the rear wheel back a good 2-3 feet just to prevent it from flipping with a small rev.

that would be hot. one day when i decide that i dont care what my family thinks, i want to buy a zx12r and make it a drag bike to putter around on the streets. and when i feel like turning, have a fun honda 600rr or duc 748 or 916 to drop knees on.
