What Does Switchback LED Mean?
The switchback driver's bi-color feature enables the use of white LEDs for running or parking lights. When the turn signal is activated, the LEDs switch to amber and automatically return to white when the signal is turned off.
It's not hard to find a switchback-integrated dual-color headlight bulb on the market. But what if you want to add the switchback feature to LED strips or to your other bi-color LED products? This switchback driver is the solution. The applications are unlimited—limited only by your imagination.
The Oznium Switchback LED driver is designed to control LEDs that can switch between two colors—typically white or red for running lights and amber for turn signals—by responding to specific input signals. This functionality is commonly used in automotive applications.
- There are three output wires: one white, one blue and one amber. Simply tap the white (+) and black (-) wires for the daytime running lights and the amber wire to the turn signal light's positive. You can find the detailed wiring diagram in the Technical Info page.
- You would need 2 drivers, one is for left & another one is for right.

No, the Oznium Switchback LED Driver is designed for switching between two circuits, making it ideal for running light and turn signal light applications. It requires a product with a bi-color LED feature, rather than converting a single-color LED into a bi-color one.
No. The pulse signal should come from your car or bike. If the Oznium Switchback LED driver receives a pulse signal, the output will also be a pulse. If the input signal is constant instead of a pulse, then the output will be constant too.
If the other light or strip already has a switchback driver it probably won't work to add ours. The two drivers will be in conflict with each other.

I have an LED light that's bi-color. However, the driver on it that recently died has a 3 wire input, but a two wire output. Normal polarity makes a white light, and reversing the polarity makes an amber light.

I bought one of your dual intensity LED brake light drivers. I'm happy I found it... It's for an electric dirt bike project that I made street legal. The two rear lights that I have added are three wire. A positive brake, a positive turn signal and the shared negative. I have the one dual intensity driver connected to the brake positive and negative to both lights. The turn signals are separate. When I turn the turn signal on either side they blink at the percentage setting on the module. When I hold the brake then they go full brightness. Also, when I put the hazards on the lights do not flash unless I hold the brake. I'm assuming your switchback driver will fix this. I'm assuming I need two of them? One for each side. It would be nice if you could create a switchback driver that has a left and turn signal lead instead of just one. $60 total for 2 switchback drivers and 1 dual intensity driver when I can but 2 lights for about 20-30 that have the function I'm looking for

I have two single-color LED lights, a 1157 and a 194 wedge. My vehicle provides separate turn signal and running light feeds.
Will this driver work with this setup to have both lights act as running lights normally, but fully flash on and off (a true blink) when the turn signal is activated?

Our Switchback LED Driver is designed for setups that use a common positive (+) wiring system, where both LEDs share a positive wire and the driver switches the ground (negative) between running light and turn signal modes.
Even though your vehicle already provides separate running light and turn signal feeds, it still uses a common ground (-) setup, so the driver won't work correctly with your 1157 and 194 bulbs in their stock sockets.
However, if you install those bulbs into sockets that have a common positive wire, then yes - the driver will work exactly as you described. In that configuration, both lights will act as running lights normally, and when the turn signal activates, they'll fully turn off and on with each blink (no dim glow at all).
Alternatively, if you prefer not to change the socket wiring, you can achieve the same full on/off flash effect using a simple relay setup that interrupts the running light feed whenever the turn signal is on.
In short, the Switchback Driver can give you the true blink effect you want, but it must be used in a common positive setup.

Works great for LEDs

I used (2) of the swtichback drivers to add LED marker and turn signals on my 2005 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic Tour-Pak (aka the trunk). They are working perfectly and I hope with the side markers now flashing as turn signals, it will give me a bit more visibility.
My only suggestions would to include the wiring diagram in the package (I had to come back online and print them out) and maybe and some double sided tape for mounting ( I used 3M tape as I couldn't use the mounting holes).
